How to Add a New Video to the Academy Courses

Adding video to the academy courses needs two steps to be done. In the first step you will use Presto Player tool for generating a code for the video you want to add to your course, and the second step will be with Tutor LMS which you will add this code to the course course.

The First Step: Presto Player

Let’s say you want to add the below video to your course.

First, Select Presto Player from the menu in the left side

Press add new

A new window will open, in the title you’ll copy the video title from it’s original source, then you choose the video source, in our case will be YouTube.

After adding the title, press “YouTube” so you can copy the link and past it inside presto, then press add video.

After pressing add video, it’ll appear like the photos below.

You still have one more step to do with presto.

Adding the timestamps.

Below any video you’ll find the timestamp, you’ll copy this timestamp as it is and past it in preseto.

In case you didn’t find timestamp in the original video, you need to listen to the video and create one.

How to add the timestamps in presto.

In the right side you’ll find it under Chapters

You need to add the time, title, then press “+” to add new time stamp, and so on.

Now you finished the first step. Press Publish to generate the code which you’ll use in the second step.

When you press publish, your video will be add and the needed code you’ll find under the short code.

Cope this code so you can use it Tutor LMS.

The Second Step: Tutor LMS

From the left side menu choose Tutor LMS

Scroll down to find the course. Then choose the course you want to add the new video inside.

A new window will open with course title and description

Scroll down to course builder.

Add topic name

After adding the topic name press add topic.

Inside topic, you’ll find the tap “lesson”. In the “lesson” tap you’ll add your videos.

A new window will appear, add the original video title, and in the description copy the below sentence and hyperlink the word “ONE” with the original video link.

 This Video is Embedded from YouTube and here’s the original one.

Also, You’ll add the timestamps inside the description.

If the original video contains any resources, you need to copy this resources also in the description box, and in case the resources related to each timestamp as showing in below, put each resource under it’s belonging timestamp.

In the video source section, choose External URL, then cope the code that you generated from Presto Player.

Add the original video time in Video playtime section.

Finally, update the lesson.

Now you created a topic name ” How to Do Content Gap Analysis”, and inside the Topic You have a lesson name “How to Do an Effective Content Gap Analysis for SEO”, this is under the course name “Content Gap Analysis”

What If you need to add another video to the same course, under the same topic.

You’ll repeat all the previous steps, and when you select Tutor LMS, Move directly to course builder, then choose the topic, after that press lesson to add the new one.

In case you need to add the lesson in different topic, you can create a new topic and add the lesson inside that topic.
